Just had an
amazing day of fishing on
Mississippi Lake, ON with my dad. We kayaked 12km and caught a TON of fish. We set out with the intention of catching
walleye since the season just opened today but we didn't see any all day! We tried worm harnesses, jigs, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, swimbaits, you name it. The only things that were biting were smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and pike. Not that I can complain, they were really nice ones! Here are some of the highlights of the day:

Wow the bass are big in this lake!

I was surprised to catch this species!
Largemouth Bass (micropterus salmoides) |
 |
Tiny little baby pike attacked a lure almost half his size.

Another largemouth. He missed my lure 3 times before he finally got it.
