Here are some updates. The water level has dropped significantly compared to how it was back in May and early June. All the dirt in it has also settled making it very clear now. We have no difficulty seeing the bottom when we're out wading. The lower water levels also means we have finally been able to reach the deeper pools further out from shore that were literally bass and walleye mines last summer.
Also, there have been a few good north-east wind days for kayak fishing as well, which has allowed me to discover new wading areas around Nun's Island that can be reached from shore. Those will be fun to explore in the coming weeks.
